INDUSTRY – THE SUNRISE SECTOR
The industrial scenario in the province of Sindh is under a sweeping change. This is a place where many kinds of industries can be found, both middle-aged and teenage.

Karachi, being the provincial headquarter is the epicenter of textiles. This includes cotton ginning, spinning. Weaving, dyeing, and garment production. It has a huge labor force and has a leading role in exports.

There are very large areas of sugarcane cultivation in the province and its sugar industry is very strong. Many sugar mills produce sugar from this sugarcane and its by-products in the form of ethanol. Rice Milling: The province is known for rice production, so by-product rice milling goes without saying. This industry processes the rice to meet internal consumption and for export.

However, Sindh also presents immense opportunities. With a high population density and a strategic location, the province is supplier-rich. Furthermore, the province is also quite attractive to investments given the abundant natural resources. An extent of good investment opportunities can be harnessed if the government due concern in adhering to the regulations to improve the business environment, develop the infrastructure, and provide for energy security.
